Description

Durabella Westbourne Cradle & Batten Flooring

The Durabella cradle system is FFT2 compliant for many Robust Detail floors. It is composed of injection moulded plastic components made with up to 50% recycled plastic which fit onto a rubber acoustic pad made from 100% recycled rubber crumb.  Height adjustments can be made by inserting the appropriate combination of cradle packers (shims) into the cradle between the upstands equal to the required height difference. Cradles are 100mm x 100mm x 2mm high (12mm when located on the 10mm acoustic pad, 22mm when located on a 20mm acoustic pad) with upstands to accommodate 2mm & 5mm base packers for fine height adjustment (up to 15mm maximum) and batten. The cradle base packers are available in 2mm and 5mm thicknesses.

For height differences of more than 15mm, macro cradle base packers can be used beneath the cradle to elevate the cradle up to a maximum height of 140mm. These are available in 10mm, 15mm and 20mm. Battens are laid into the cradle and acoustic or thermal insulation quilt is laid between the battens if. Battens are 46mm wide and 2400mm long. They are available in various heights.  The cradle and batten system is overlaid with 18mm chipboard. This system allows for quick and easy levelling of uneven floors and effectively reduces impact and airborne sound. It can accommodate both services and under floor heating systems.

Please Note:

This system comprises: 18mm chipboard, P5, T&G4; cradles and packers to meet the desired finished floor height, batten, 25mm quilt, perimeter seal, adhesive and screws.
